RecipePT is operated by STONEG LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("STONEG LLC," "we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information the RecipePT app and website collect, why, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.

Information we collect

Account information

Your email address, and an account identifier, when you sign up or sign in. You may sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address.
If you use Sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, we receive only Apple's relay address.

Information you give us about your cooking

Dietary preferences, allergens you tell us to avoid, ingredients you dislike, and meal-style preferences.
Recipes you save, import, or create, including URLs you share to the app, text you paste, and photos you import.
Grocery lists, ratings, folders, cooking history, and the free-text requests you type when asking for ideas or refinements.

Subscription information

Your subscription status, product identifier, and entitlement state.
Purchases are processed by Apple, which acts as merchant of record. We never receive or store your payment card details.

Analytics and diagnostics

Product analytics events (screens viewed, features used, funnel steps) tied to a per-device identifier.
Crash and error diagnostics.
Standard technical information such as device model, operating system version, and app version.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use advertising trackers inside the app, and we do not track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes.

How we use it

To create and run your account.
To generate and personalize recipe suggestions based on what you have told us and what you have cooked.
To honor the dietary preferences and allergen exclusions you set.
To provide and manage your subscription.
To send service email, such as trial reminders and account notices.
To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and understand which features are used.
To protect against abuse and to comply with law.

Artificial intelligence and your content

RecipePT uses third-party AI services to generate recipes, images, and cooking guidance. To do that, we send those providers the information needed to fulfil your request. That can include:

the request you typed,
your dietary preferences, allergens, and exclusions,
recipe text or URLs you imported,
relevant parts of your saved recipes and cooking history.

We send what the feature needs, and no more. We do not send your email address or account credentials to these providers.

Who we share information with

We use the following service providers. They process information on our behalf, under their own terms.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If that happens, we will say so here.

Where information is stored

Our systems are hosted in the United States. If you use RecipePT from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app, which removes your account and the recipe, preference, and history data associated with it.

Some records may persist briefly in backups, and we may retain limited records where the law requires it. Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you may be retained.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of California and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

Children

RecipePT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and managed cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and we will change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
